Recently, Shandong Wantong Hydraulic Co., Ltd., a national-level "Little Giant" enterprise specializing in niche, specialized, and innovative products (hereinafter referred to as "Wantong Hydraulic"), announced that its proprietary hydraulic cylinder—specifically developed for integrated excavator-dredger machines—has entered large-scale production. Designed to meet the dual operational demands of "heavy-load shovel loading" and "impactful excavation" in combined equipment, this product has been enhanced through structural reinforcement and material innovation, making it an highly efficient and well-suited component for the construction engineering sector.
According to the head of Vantone Hydraulics' Technology Department, the integrated excavator bucket-and-digging cylinder features a monolithic forged cylinder body made from 42CrMo alloy steel. After undergoing isothermal quenching treatment, its impact toughness is significantly enhanced, enabling it to withstand the heavy loads associated with bucket-loading operations as well as the instantaneous shocks encountered during digging tasks. Meanwhile, the piston rod undergoes mirror-polishing and dual-layer chrome plating, achieving a surface roughness that meets stringent standards and markedly improving its wear resistance compared to industry benchmarks. The sealing system incorporates imported PTFE composite seals, effectively addressing high-pressure leakage issues under dual operating conditions, while ensuring an exceptionally low failure rate even during prolonged continuous use. The product range covers a variety of commonly used cylinder bore and stroke specifications, perfectly suited to meet the boom, stick, and bucket-drive requirements of small-to-medium-sized integrated excavator models.
Enterprise Assurance: Rigorous Testing and Production Capacity Support
As one of the first companies listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange, Wantong Hydraulic holds the IATF16949 international quality system certification. Specifically tailored for excavator-dredger integrated hydraulic cylinders, the company has established a dedicated testing process that includes tens of thousands of impact fatigue tests, high-pressure burst tests, and sand-and-dust environment simulation tests—ensuring that its products are perfectly suited for the demanding, high-intensity operations in construction projects. Leveraging its "exclusive production line for engineering machinery hydraulic cylinders," the company boasts an annual production capacity for these cylinders that can easily meet the bulk procurement needs of major OEMs, while maintaining short delivery cycles to promptly support manufacturers' large-scale purchasing requirements.
Market Application: Engineering Work Efficiency Significantly Enhanced
At a construction project site in Sichuan, multiple pieces of equipment equipped with Wantong Hydraulic's integrated excavating and digging hydraulic cylinders have been operating continuously for several months, collectively completing over 100,000 cubic meters of earthwork. Notably, the equipment has demonstrated improved digging efficiency, with the cylinders running smoothly without any failures—and significantly lower maintenance costs compared to the original models. "Since these integrated excavating and digging machines need to both load and dig, they place high demands on the cylinders' impact resistance. Fortunately, the durability of Wantong's products has exceeded our expectations," said the project's equipment supervisor. Meanwhile, the product is also being supplied in bulk to engineering machinery companies such as XCMG and LiuGong, where it is used in the production lines for integrated excavating and digging excavators.
Wan Tong Hydraulic's Marketing Manager revealed that the company's products have already entered the supply chains of major domestic integrated excavator-loader equipment manufacturers and are now poised to expand into overseas markets, tailoring their offerings to meet the infrastructure project demands in Southeast Asia. Moving forward, the company plans to develop an integrated excavator-loader cylinder equipped with intelligent wear-monitoring technology, further supporting the smart upgrade of construction machinery.
