Recently, Shandong Wantong Hydraulic Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Wantong Hydraulic”), a nationally recognized “Little Giant” enterprise specializing in specialized, sophisticated, and innovative products, announced that its independently developed multi-stage hydraulic cylinders and telescopic hydraulic cylinders have entered simultaneous mass production. These two product lines have been specifically optimized for long-stroke operations and flexible extension-retraction requirements, respectively, and have successfully been adapted to a wide range of applications—including waste compaction, construction machinery, mining equipment, and agricultural machinery. Thanks to their high adaptability and reliability, these products have earned recognition from industry customers.
The multi-stage hydraulic cylinder recently launched by Wantong Hydraulics focuses on the core requirements of “long stroke and high thrust”: The cylinder body is made from 42CrMo alloy steel processed via cold-drawing, and features a multi-section telescopic design. A single cylinder can achieve a maximum stroke of up to 3,000 mm, with rated thrust ranging from 50 to 300 tons. Specifically, the 120-ton multi-stage cylinder customized for waste compaction equipment incorporates a built-in cushioning device and leak-proof sealing technology, ensuring stable operating pressure between 18 and 22 MPa during compaction operations. Its continuous-operation failure rate is below 0.5%, and its service life is 40% longer than that of comparable industry products. Meanwhile, the telescopic hydraulic cylinder emphasizes the characteristics of “lightweight and rapid response.” Its cylinder body adopts a composite structure combining high-strength aluminum alloy with special steel materials, reducing weight by 25% compared to conventional products and increasing the telescoping response speed by 30%. It is ideally suited for applications such as agricultural machinery harvesting arms and positioning mechanisms in mining equipment, with a minimum telescoping radius as low as 150 mm, perfectly meeting the demands of operations in confined spaces.
As one of the first companies listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange, Wantong Hydraulics’ mass production of two product lines is underpinned by more than two decades of technological expertise and strategic capacity planning in the hydraulic industry. The company holds certification for its quality management system and has established specialized testing standards for multi-stage and telescopic cylinders. From raw material receipt to finished-product shipment, its products undergo 12 rigorous inspection stages—including pressure tests, fatigue strength tests, and high- and low-temperature environmental simulation tests—ensuring stable performance even in extreme conditions ranging from -40℃ to 120℃.
Wantong Hydraulic has established multiple production lines and can customize products with bore diameters ranging from 50mm to 200mm and strokes from 500mm to 3000mm according to customer requirements. We offer customization options for various structures, including single-stage/multi-stage and single-acting/double-acting designs. The product delivery cycle has been shortened to 15–20 days, a reduction of 25% compared to the industry average. Our annual production capacity reaches 8,000 units, with multi-stage hydraulic cylinders accounting for 60% of our total output.
Multi-stage and telescopic hydraulic cylinders are important niche products in the hydraulic industry. As industries such as environmental protection, mining, and agriculture undergo upgrades, the demand for customized, high-performance hydraulic cylinders continues to grow. Moving forward, the company will integrate smart sensing technologies to develop multi-stage and telescopic hydraulic cylinders equipped with remote condition-monitoring capabilities, further aligning with the trends of intelligent and green development in construction machinery and expanding into emerging application areas such as new-energy equipment.
